Scripture Reference: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-20.
It is now summer, and we are officially in the second half of 2025! We praise, adore, and thank God for His goodness and faithfulness! For many of our friends and partners, summertime tend to be a slower pace with vacations, rest and recalibration for the second half of the year. Here at Oasis, we do take a slower pace during the summer months, but all our ministry and work serving families continues. As we continue to pray for you our partners and friends this summer, we ask for your prayers as well.
We have had a high number of requests for the 2025 Excellence In Character Scholarship application. We are just a few weeks away when the deadline closes for this year. To date, we have been blessed to see seven graduating seniors receive this award from all counties in North Texas. The Excellence in Character Scholarship program is an annual program where three $500.00 scholarships is awarded to three graduating seniors attending a high school in Dallas, Tarrant and Collin Counties, in the state of Texas. Children and grandchildren of both Oasis entities board members are not eligible to apply. All program guidelines are explained in the application.
