Workplace research indicates that many managers have blind spots concerning openness to diversity. The need for schools, corporations, churches and companies to have culturally competent leaders are critical in a global world. In this six hour course, participants will gain awareness and explore attitudes that contribute to a culturally competent workplace. Exploring the awareness component, participants will gain insights into their own emotional, psychological, and behavior responses to diversity. Additionally, participants will explore the attitude component through personal biases, moral positions and openness to differences.
