It is December! In fact it is Christmas season! One of the most wonderful time of the year! The decorations! The lights! The food! The parties! And the people we get to share it all with! This year has flown by the fastest! As we prepare for our yearly family time, I wanted to take some time to share a recap of our time together at the recent first annual Oasis Women Conference. What a time in the Lord we had! I was thrilled to meet so many precious women of God. Heaven came down and glory filled our hearts and lives in a new way. God’s healing power was at work in the spirits, bodies and souls of His daughters.
Prior to the conference, the Holy Spirit had been speaking to me about the children’s bread from Mark 7:27. He was letting me into the Father’s heart on why every woman can boldly come and receive healing. Bread is a staple food in many countries around the world. There is a favorite local place my husband and I like to visit to buy fresh assorted breads. The place often reminds us of this very scripture.
Imagine with me for a second- Jesus speaking sternly to the woman in this scripture verse who came seeking healing for her daughter (Mark 7:27). Jesus told her the truth based on who she was; that she had no right to ask for healing since she was not a Jew. It was necessary for Jesus to do this because the woman needed to learn a key truth that would unlock the treasures of heaven to her. Take a look at the woman’s response; astonishing that it was devoid of any form of offense. The woman humbly pleaded for Jesus’s mercy instead of demanding any rights, which she knew she did not have to begin with. Jesus- the Savior- ever merciful accepted her plea.
When the woman got back home, she discovered her daughter was healed. So she received based on who Jesus was and not on who she was. I am sure at that moment the light went off and she learned what Jesus was trying to communicate to her. This is the premise of receiving anything from Jesus or our heavenly Father. We receive base on who Jesus is and base on who God is and not based on who we are or think we are. Our receiving has nothing to do with who we are. We receive because God is good and not because we are or have done anything good to deserve His goodness. Once we understand this revelation; we begin to enjoy the abundant life in Christ Jesus and gladly receive all He has for us. This truth is a life changer.
This is exactly the birth and foundation of the Oasis Women’s Conference. A moment in time prepared for God’s children to receive healing in their spirits, bodies and souls, because of who God is and nothing about any of His sons or daughters. That’s because God is so Great! And Amazing! And Awesome! And Good! God met us through anointed worship, teaching, speaking, talk, preaching, interactions and prayers. Many of us are still processing all God did and marveling at His Greatness! It is indeed a privilege serving our LORD. You can catch the highlights of the conference on our website (Resources Tab, click the Conference link) and enjoy the summaries from all speakers, be challenged for your own healing through the testimonies and thank God along with us through the pictures. Our desire is to continue the momentum that God has already started. To this effect be on the lookout for more opportunities in 2019 that will be coordinated by our board members.
We are deeply grateful to God for pouring the healing balm in our midst. We are grateful for the entire team that brought God’s glory to the 2018 Oasis Women’s Conference. And to our precious hosts’ Renewed Life Church pastors Greg and Lori; how we thank God for you both. Thank you for having us all and hosting the glory of God. To all our ministry partners, donors, supporters and prayer warriors, we appreciate each of you. Together we are advancing the kingdom of our God. To my incredible husband, my brother in Christ and co-laborer in the gospel, thank you for the many hours of prayer covering every person and detail of the conference. You are the best! Grateful to God for you.
So dear friends as I say every year; it is my hope that you will enjoy much needed time with family and friends. Be the present to your loved ones and be fully present with them. Intentionally, create memories that will fuel your life for a long time. We will be following in our family tradition of giving the gift of time to each other; Christmas time is a special time for our family. We are so grateful! This is to a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Love & Blessings!!
