We appreciate all the feedback about our newest book: Worship Life: Not Just For Sunday. We are elated about all the new “fires” the Holy Spirit is birthing in the lives of His people! Worship Life: Not Just For Sunday is our invitation for every believer that desires a renewal during this special time of Advent as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior-Jesus Christ! Each year we embark on an intentional time to seek our Lord as we journey through Advent. It gives us a time to renew, refresh and recalibrate our hearts, commitment, and love to our Eternal King. With all that 2020 brought in, this year’s Advent is dearer to us than ever. Let us know how you are doing as you yearn for our Lord this Advent; we will love to keep you in prayer as we journey together.
As part of our reflective time this year, we are revisiting some of what God has done to thank Him for who He is. Jeremiah 31: 21 has been our guide through this revisitation, “Set up road signs; put up guideposts. Take note of the highway, the road that you take.” A guidepost is a sign to help guide travelers on their journey. In reflection we are grateful to God for all the signs He provided for the journey of 2020. Last year, He was providing guideposts for this year 2020 through words like “2020 vision” and “unprecedented.” This year as God’s people, we are seeing clearer than we have ever. Any scales we had as God’s people covering our vision have fallen off to correct any vision impairment. Next is the focal word of 2020 -“unprecedented” from the post Rhythm of Life. The word, “unprecedented” gives the picture of something never done before or something never experienced before. That is exactly what 2020 brought us with various levels of pandemonium: covid19 pandemic, racial unrest, and election unrest. A pandemic is a sudden outbreak that is quickly widespread and affects an entire continent or entire world due to a highly vulnerable population. Through it all, we have so much to thank God for as His people should. In reflection, we saw these words were guideposts the Holy Spirit was providing to equip us for the year.
It is God’s character to equip and prepare His people if He is allowed to do so. We are grateful for His voice, His guidance, His leadership and most of all, His lovingkindness. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas and close out the year strong, we want to encourage you to take time to listen for God’s guideposts for you, your family, your friends, and your communities. Write down the guideposts God gives you. Pray over them and ask the Holy Spirit to explain God’s heart about the guideposts to you. Sometimes, He might only give you “little” explanation; but critical enough that obedience to the little explanation will keep you at the center of God’s will. Then let the Holy Spirit breathe upon you in a new way preparing you for 2021. With God in control and with you, your 2021 is sealed and guaranteed. We wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas! Let’s celebrate our Savior and Eternal King!
