The 2017-2018 school year is upon us! Whether you are a parent, student, teacher, principal or administrator know that many prayers have been offered on your behalf. It's exciting to see how communities are rallying around our schools, teachers and students. From back-to-school events to prayer meetings the support is rising. It's encouraging to witness! As always in this repost, you will be so inspired by my incredible husband as he challenges our thinking on culture of engagement. We witnessed some transformative principles during our recent trip to San Francisco to celebrate our youngest daughter's birthday. We got a chance to tour Facebook Headquarters at Menlo Park and we were all inspired. Also in this repost is a feature article that will encourage you to believe God for His faithfulness. I am a witness of God's goodness and help. It's on my post list to share how this precious lady (Founder of Femigrants) found and contacted me two months ago for the story. There are some vital lessons about the whole outcome that I would love to share with you. So, pull up a chair; read up below and glean from the post. Love & Blessings!!

We hear the word “culture” often. It is a word with different meanings depending on the context that it is used. My context for this post; is culture as a means of taking a look at a particular way of life. That could be company culture, ministry culture, national culture, or kingdom culture. Recently our youngest daughter, Lade, celebrated her 23rd birthday. She had the family over to San Francisco for a memorable time of celebration. Apart from the dining experiences, our times of celebration included 4.1 miles walk across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, ferry ride, tour of Facebook Headquarters and Sunday worship at her church.
I was so impressed by the culture of engagement at Facebook Headquarters where our daughter works as a Technical Program Manager. It was evident that great thought, process and care went into every facet of the company. It was also evident the reason behind the explosive success of the company. Facebook also owns Instagram and WhatsApp. All around the massive campus were principles that promoted honor, respect, generosity and creativity. My spirit was stirred as I thought of the challenge God has given followers of Christ to walk in all His ways that He has commanded us. The scripture from Deuteronomy 5: 33 came to mind. We can answer the call or reject the mandate. We can select God's way of life we are more comfortable with or embrace the totality of His ways. However, we will never experience the abundant life God promised for His children if we make God’s way of life a “buffet menu” that we pick and choose what we like (John 10:10).
The kingdom of God has a culture of engagement. The kingdom of God has a way of life that is explained in His word. The Bible is full of God’s way of life and His ways are not suggestions. His ways of life are commandments for living life abundantly. These commandments are from a loving heavenly Father who desires nothing but our very best. Why we Christians sometimes choose to reject God’s ways of life is a mystery. He knows best and knows all things. God has given us a roadmap for His ways of life; to embrace them is to experience the mystery of eternity in us. This means we live eternity right here from earth and experience His culture of engagement. Beloved brothers and sisters, may we rise up to the challenge of embracing the totality of God’s way of life.
I cannot close out this post without sharing the recent article featuring my Beautiful Queen on Femigrants- an organization dedicated to supporting immigrant women. I am super proud of my Queen for sharing her story to help others know they can be successful too. Mrs. Aliyeva of Femigrants is doing a good work in reaching immigrant women through her platform. Check out the article and pass on to any woman that can benefit from this organization. May God continue to bless you!
