can do the good things He planned for us long ago" Ephesians 2:10 NLT
The portrait of Adele Bloche-Bouer, painted in 1906 by Gustav Klimt is one of the most expensive paintings in the world. In fact, it is among the top five paintings in the world. The painting is estimated at $155 million. Gustav meticulously did the painting over a period of three years through the request of Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer. He had contracted Gustav to make a special painting of his wife Adele who had a passion for artistic creations. To think of the cost of this painting and the time it took to complete it, one can deduce the value of the painting. Any artist would tell us, it takes a deep passion to envision a painting and bring it to life. Such paintings by Gustav and other well-noted artists are called masterpieces. A masterpiece denotes a work of outstanding artistry, skill or workmanship. It is an artist’s best piece of work.
The word of God succinctly tells the deep passion our heavenly Father had in mind when he crafted each one of us. Ephesians 2:10 NLT states, “ For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago”. Reflect on this truth and grasp the revelation of who God ordained His beloved to be. As a masterpiece, God Himself took time (time is only for our reference as humans, for our God is not confined in time or with time: 2 Peter 3:8 ) to envision the finished work of each of His beloved and brought it to life in Christ Jesus. This is a powerful transforming truth! Many times it takes a three level revelation process for this truth to become activated in our lives as sons and daughters of the living God. What do I mean by this? You see, man is made up of three parts; created in the likeness of God as a tri-unity being (Genesis 1:26). Man is comprised of a spirit, a soul and a body.
The transforming truth of being a divine masterpiece has to sip into our pneuma (Greek for spirit), then psuche (Greek for soul) and then soma (Greek for body). The activation into each of these levels of our being unlocks the abundant life that Jesus already purchased for us. This is a truth you do not have to earn or work for, Jesus did it all. It has everything to do with Him and nothing at all to do with us. So brothers and sisters, you are God’s best work of artistry. You’re not going to be God’s best work of artistry. You already are. You’re already His masterpiece in Christ Jesus. I encourage you to understand, meditate, and revel in this transforming truth and watch as God unfolds all the good things He had in mind when He delicately crafted you for His own glory! I celebrate the amazing masterpiece that you are for His glory! Live and flow in this incredible truth of who you are in Christ!
