Count Your Blessings

12/31/2011

The celebrations of Christmas have come and gone. To the world, Christmas is all about the commercialization which comes with it with retailers looking forward to innovative ways for the next year. But for us believers who have been saved by grace and washed in the cleansing blood of the lamb, Christmas is a continuous celebration of our regenerated life because of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection.

The Psalmist said “What shall I render to God for all His benefits towards me.” (Psalm 116:12)

We should take the inventory of God’s blessings in our lives. Count your blessings, name it one by one and give God all the glory for what He has done. We should count our blessings of answered prayers, the blessings of unanswered prayers, as well safety, protection, goodness and provision amidst one of the worst economical times of our nation marked by recession and lingering employment opportunities. What God did for us will vary from individual to individual and from family to family. As for me and my household, the Lord has shown Himself strong in our lives. His goodness has encompassed us. He gave us the power to accomplish everything He had in plan for us during 2011- so to God be the Glory.

2011 like any other years, has not been without its challenges and yet it has had many rewards. One principle God taught me about restoration is to always prepare to enter a new year with the full determination to overcome and succeed at all costs because of His promise in Hebrews 13: 5b, “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” This is an assurance that no matter what, it will be a good year because God is with you. So 2012 will be a good year for you and your household too because God is with you. Nothing can stop God the Creator of the universe. Enter 2012 with the focus of how BIG your God is. Nothing or no one compares to Him.

As the world focuses on making resolutions for a new year, we as believers can focus on God’s promise to us to never leave us or forsake us. God is a progressive God. He has promised the latter rain shall be greater than the former rain.

2012 is a leap year and it shall be an unprecedented year for Jesus in and through your life because God is with you. Have a blessed, joyful and victorious 2012. Declare it, speak it and live it for His glory.

Un-Wrap the Gift

12/20/2011

Prophet Isaiah proclaimed the coming of the Messiah and the Anointed One of Israel.

Isaiah 9:6-7 declares: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”

I cannot but imagine what the first Christmas was like compared to what the holiday has become today. What is so amazing is the real meaning of this Blessed season has been almost completely eliminated when we look around us. We even have many who will refuse to recognize the name of Jesus in anything that has to do with Christmas. What we find is the strong wave aimed at suppressing the true meaning of Christmas in our society.

Christmas celebration was born out of love. You cannot love without giving. The Almighty God gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Giving and receiving gifts is a highlight of Christmas time. Our Wonderful Gift, Jesus, was wrapped with God’s unconditional love to whoever will receive Him. This Christmas let us lift very high for everyone to see our Wonderful Gift, Jesus, by cherishing the gift from God and un-wrapping the gift with hearts of thanksgiving.

When we unwrap the Wonderful Gift, we find the contents described in Isaiah 11:2-5, "The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist."

We can un-wrap the Wonderful Gift this Christmas by imitating some of His qualities, touching those around us who need the gift of love, hope, friendship, a listening ear, or courage. Let us cherish our Savior, the Wonderful Gift, by giving to less fortunate people in our communities; many of whom are fighting loneliness and depression. Especially around this time of year, there are numerous reports of suicide attempts.

Let us un-wrap the Wonderful Gift by remembering the widows, widowers, and the orphans by displaying acts of unconditional kindness. Let us un-wrap the Wonderful Gift by praying for the sick and shut-ins, intercede for sinners, and supplicate on behalf of other believers. Let us not forget to pray comfort for the families of soldiers who have lost loved ones from the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. Let us pray for speedy recovery of all our wounded soldiers. Let us celebrate Christmas by un-wrapping the Wonderful Gift-Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.

Merry Christmas in different languages, from my family to you and yours.

Power to Create

12/12/2011

Our heavenly Father gave us the ability to “create” with the words we speak.

Proverbs 18: 21 acclaims that “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

As believers our tongue is like an automobile and we have the key to drive it to any direction of our choosing with our words. The
scripture is packed with many creative declarations that we can activate, speak, mediate on and confess on daily basis bringing about the manifestation of the power in each scripture.

Few of these are:

- I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13) Never say that you cannot do anything because of any limitations.

- My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) Don't confess that you’re lacking and there is no money, but this should be balanced with the fact that you are a tither and generous giver.

- Jehovah El Shaddai is your Sufficiency. Greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

- You are a Super Conqueror; God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

- With His stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus Himself took my infirmities and bare my sickness. (Matthew 8:17)

- The Lord is the strength of my life. (Psalm 27:1)

- The people that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. (Daniel 11:32)

The promissory note (Holy Bible) is packed with answers to any of life’s situation and is at your disposal 24/7.

Make confessing God’s Word a part of your daily life regardless of circumstances. When you discover the creative power of God’s Word, you discover the supernatural realm that ushers in the manifested victory God has promised you.

O Lord, Revive your Work

12/7/2011

According to the prophet in Habakkuk 3:2: “LORD, I have heard the report about You and I fear (awe). O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”

I have read, memorized, meditated, and prayed this scripture numerous times so I could see this verse lifted off the pages and become real to me and my family. I am encouraging all my saints to share a similar passion for this passage. Pray to God Almighty to revive His work in your lives, homes, churches, communities, schools, work-places, cities, counties, states, nation and all around the world.

If there is a time for revival, it is now. Throughout history, we have found revival is a rebirth through fervent and zealous prayer allowing for a powerful move from God. Saints, let us pray for the changes only God can bring to our nation for such a time as this. As we are approaching a pivotal time in the history of our country, only God’s agenda will see us through and usher us into the promise land flowing with milk and honey. We can only overcome the woes of Wall Street through the unfailing power of God – the foundation of this country.

I believe we are destined to be winners and God is waiting for us to stand on His promises, activating the power of His spoken and written Words. God can revive His work in our hearts and in all churches, until once again we shall hear and see multitudes in the valley of decision, inquiring their way to Zion, with their faces in the right direction. I don’t know about you, but as for me and my house, we would love to see the dry bones live again and join in the worship of our King of Kings.

Stop, Rest, Recalibrate, Serve

12/1/2011

At the beginning of this year, God gave me a direction to stop everything ministry related for a moment. At that time, it was difficult to comprehend. However, looking at the rear view mirror, I am humbled for the divine direction. God did a new work in me. I am glad I said yes to the Stop-Rest-Recalibrate-Serve instructions.

Isaiah 55: 8 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord.”

The “Rest” part of God’s direction was something that seemed impossible with daily basis routines. But God is always right. It ended up being a much needed rest for me and my family.

By the middle of the year, I began to intensively seek the face of God for what “Recalibrate” should look like by His standard. I had
no idea how God would continue to lead me. The mandate to go and spread the Truth of His Word using technology to reclaim families, market place, and schools was too strong to ignore. God is right all of the time and will always end up having His way. God used many sources to confirm His Word to me, including my church’s annual presbytery. I must be about my Father’s business.

Today, “Take Back Radio” debuts! It is a 24/7 Internet Radio Station which will broadcast the Truth of God’s Word around the world. To God be the Glory! I am humbled and honored to be chosen to do His work. Take Back is completely the result of the Lord's doing and none of mine. It is truly fulfilling to be commissioned and commanded to serve during this end time harvest of souls in need of restoration and equipping.

I am grateful to God for blessing me with Feyi - my wife. Her unrelenting support is priceless. I am indebted to my three daughters; they are jewels and treasures. I am a blessed man. I am grateful for mentors and spiritual fathers who have invested in me. The call is crystal clear - it is now time to serve, time to take back all the enemy has stolen, and time to fish for souls. To God be all the Glory!
