The Psalmist said “What shall I render to God for all His benefits towards me.” (Psalm 116:12)
We should take the inventory of God’s blessings in our lives. Count your blessings, name it one by one and give God all the glory for what He has done. We should count our blessings of answered prayers, the blessings of unanswered prayers, as well safety, protection, goodness and provision amidst one of the worst economical times of our nation marked by recession and lingering employment opportunities. What God did for us will vary from individual to individual and from family to family. As for me and my household, the Lord has shown Himself strong in our lives. His goodness has encompassed us. He gave us the power to accomplish everything He had in plan for us during 2011- so to God be the Glory.
2011 like any other years, has not been without its challenges and yet it has had many rewards. One principle God taught me about restoration is to always prepare to enter a new year with the full determination to overcome and succeed at all costs because of His promise in Hebrews 13: 5b, “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” This is an assurance that no matter what, it will be a good year because God is with you. So 2012 will be a good year for you and your household too because God is with you. Nothing can stop God the Creator of the universe. Enter 2012 with the focus of how BIG your God is. Nothing or no one compares to Him.
As the world focuses on making resolutions for a new year, we as believers can focus on God’s promise to us to never leave us or forsake us. God is a progressive God. He has promised the latter rain shall be greater than the former rain.
2012 is a leap year and it shall be an unprecedented year for Jesus in and through your life because God is with you. Have a blessed, joyful and victorious 2012. Declare it, speak it and live it for His glory.
