To God be the Glory – Worship Him

11/28/2011

12 In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" 13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!" 14 The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.
   - Revelation 5:12-14.

The Lord deserves all the Glory and our complete worship. Worship should flow from love, reverence and honor we have for our Lord. Where love is meager, worship is scanty and where love is deep, worship will be overflowing. When God is given His rightful place in our hearts, churches, home, organization, or business, His faith is able to be stimulated within us. As a result, His blessings are commanded on us and anything we venture to do.

As his creation, God is rightfully worthy and entitled to our “worth-ship.” The secret of worshipping God is to learn His Hebrew names, eulogizing Him using these Hebrew names. He is our YAHWEH, Adonai, El-Shaddai, Alpha and Omega.

So worship God and praise your way to the manifestation and answers to your prayers.

The Anointing

11/20/2011

The anointing is not a feeling or goose bumps. It is a burden moving, yoke destroying force of the power of God.

No spiritual accomplishment results without the anointing.  Anointing propels into the supernatural, moves mountains and calm storms. Tests are turned to testimonies, obstacles are turned to miracles, and barriers are turned into breakthroughs, all because of the anointing. The work of the kingdom of God prospers and flourishes because of the anointing. Anointing makes the impossible possible.

No wonder the Word of God declares in 2 Corinthians 1:21 that “Now he which establisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God.” His anointing, on any life He has called, makes all the difference. Don’t make the mistake of living life without the anointing. Even the devil and his demons recognize the power an anointed man or woman of God holds.

Serving in ministry is a divine assignment from the Almighty God and hence, it requires divine empowerment in order to fulfill God’s purposes. Anointing is the divine support needed to pilot kingdom work. Every king who ever ascended the throne in Israel was first anointed before accepting the crown.

As it was then, so it is today, no one can occupy the place of their calling and purpose without the anointing. The disciples were never the same after they were endowed with power from on high. Lord anoint us to be exemplary in our purpose and calling.

Need the anointing for what God has called you to do? Then ask Him from your heart: “Pour on me the oil needed for a breakthrough in ministry and victorious living.” God is too faithful not to grant His desires to His sons and daughters.

Yield and Ask Him

11/18/2011

According to 2 Samuel 5:23, David asked the Lord for guidance and God gave him the appropriate warfare strategy to use against the Philistines. While the Philistines were ferociously intimidating, by listening to God, David was enabled to prevail over his   enemies.

When the Philistines approached him in another battle, David did not automatically assume he would win because of the success of his earlier victory. Once more, he humbly inquired of the Lord and He directed his path.

As Christians, let us take a cue from David, from his reliance and total dependence on the Lord. We should learn to not make decisions without consulting God or being led of the Holy Spirit. Allow God to take the helm. Let Him choose, lead, and command your efforts.

“I will instruct you and teach you the way in which you should go” says the Lord of Hosts. That is God's promise to His people. So let us take all of our matters to Him and say “Lord, what should I do? Almighty God show me and I will follow without questioning.”

Christians, make it a habit to ask God daily (in your quiet time and throughout your day) before making any decision: be it personal, familial, or business related.

Characteristics of True Disciples

11/13/2011

Disciples are followers of a leader. True disciples are considered loyal and identify with a specific vision.

There are three characteristics which can define a disciple of Christ.

Commitment: Disciples are committed to a leader and the cause the leader is passionate about. Matthew 6:26 says we cannot serve two masters; you must love one and abhor the other. True disciples are irresistibly loyal and dependable. True disciples are people consistently faithful even in little things. When we are faithful in small things, the Lord is then able to bless us with abundantly more than we could ever imagine.

Perseverance: True disciples endure hardships amidst any circumstances or situation they encounter in life. They are typical die hard individuals who do not give up easily. They know what they believe and in whom they believe. The confession of true disciples can be found in Psalm 119:112, “I have inclined my heart to perform your statutes forever, even to the end”.

Spiritual hunger: True disciples have an unquenchable zeal to know the Word of God.  Additionally, they meditate frequently on the Scriptures. (Psalms 63:1-3 and 24:3-6) Daniel writes those that know their God shall be strong and perform exploits. Knowing God intimately only results from spending extensive, quality time with Him.
