The end of another year is just two weeks and two days away. It is always a blessing to be able to reflect on the impact that God allowed us to leave on our spheres of influence each year. We started out 2016 with the prayer that we will be filled to the point of overflow to reach everyone God has written for us to reach, touch and bless. We were able to do exactly that, filled with the essence of the Holy Spirit and flowing in God’s plan, will and glory. Through your support and prayer 2016 was a glorifying one for our Lord. We thank you. Again, we are left with awe, praise and gratitude to be carriers of God’s love and goodwill to our spheres of influence.
The wonder of aerodynamics has been a fascination for me. However, in preparing to end 2016 and cross over into 2017, my fascination has been heightened. You see traveling across three continents in seventeen hours of flight each way is a great practical visual. The extended flight times provided ample time of download and revelation from the Holy Spirit. Aerodynamics involves the interaction of moving air with solid bodies or objects. This movement governs how an airplane is able to fly. Aerodynamics is not limited to just airplanes but cars too, since air flows around cars. No matter the object of focus, there are four things that make aerodynamics possible. These four things have stirred and stood out in my spirit in preparing for 2017.
Weight in aerodynamics refers to the push on an object that propels it to the opposite direction from gravity. Besides, the weight of an object controls how strong the push has to be. In an hour that God wants to restore the integrity of His bride to the world, it is needful that as the body of Christ we will have weightiness such that the kingdom of our Lord will be unquestionably established (Matthew 6:10).
Thrust in aerodynamics refers to the push that moves an object forward. Thrust helps overcome any form of drag that may pull an object down. Thrust has an inbuilt propulsion system. It is needful that as followers of Christ in this hour, our inward propulsion system-the Holy Spirit- is super charged to advance God’s kingdom through us. This is defining for followers of Christ, because whatever comes out of us indicates what is inside. Our thrust system must be such as the effect of salt in our world (Luke 14:34).
Lift in aerodynamics refers to the push on an object that moves it upwards. It is the opposite of weight. For any object to fly it must have lift. For airplanes, lift comes from the wings. It is needful as Christ’s followers that we not only pray, but we live in the daily power of prayer that lifts us upward in the things of the kingdom. Prayer has always been and will continue to be the wings for believers to manifest the kingdom of God. How hungry are we to see such lift in our day? (Matthew 7:7).
Drag in aerodynamics refers to the push that slows an object down. Mediums and shape often determine the extent of drag. Water is an example of a medium that causes more drag than air. Narrow surfaces tend to have less drag than wider surfaces. As followers of Christ, any form of sin is a drag to the resting and release of the anointing to manifest the kingdom of God. The anointing we carry is for the healing of nations and people. The anointing demands a lifestyle that is pleasing to God. May each follower of Christ in this hour throw off any hindrance and be tethered to the heart of God (Hebrews 12:1).
Dear brothers and sisters, as we count down to a new year among the celebrations of the season, may the wonder and glory of Christ's birth be transformative in our lives. From my family and our Take Back Ministries family, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a dynamic 2017! We love you and thank God for you.
