Many of you have sent us questions and topics you would like to see covered on Oasis Connection; our bi-weekly broadcast featuring practical hope for victorious living from God's Word and the many transformed lives of ordinary people who have committed their lives to the extraordinary Lordship of Jesus Christ as the way, truth and life. Back in March, when my beautiful wife and I went to Myrtle Beach, we spent some time visiting with some of our spiritual children and their families. They had reached out to us and wanted us to visit and participate in a panel session with other leaders chronicling our faith.
Questions asked varied from faith, family, culture and politics. We commended them that they are addressing these questions openly rather than keep them inside to themselves and give an opportunity to the devil as the Bible talks about in Ephesians 4:27, "Don't give the devil any opportunity to work." Each leader directed them to the Word of God that has answers we may be seeking today in our world. What my wife and I loved the most about our time with them; was the fact that though there were a few who were not too satisfied with the Biblical answers, they were open to the challenge we gave them to commit those areas to God is prayer and watch how He shows up personally for each of them to establish their faith in Him. Two have reported back on the transformation in their hearts in those areas they committed to God in prayer. To God be the glory! They are not exceptions because God is always faithful when we trust Him.
I am reminded of Jesus words to Simon Peter in Luke 22:31-32, "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers." From Jesus words we catch glimpses of these revelations:
1. Satan has to ask God's permission to sift any child of His.
2. Satan's sifting is "all of you" and not some of you.
3. Jesus prayers for His followers are guaranteed.
4. Jesus prayers guarantees a turning back to Him in full commitment and faith.
5. Once back to full commitment and faith, there is a responsibility to strengthen others in their faith.
From that Myrtle Beach meeting my wife and I prayed and sensed the nudging of the Holy Spirit with the bigger picture of providing some of our broadcasts to address the questions on family. One of our ministry focus is equipping families. To that effect some of our upcoming broadcasts on Oasis Connection TV will cover topics on family. Mark your calendars and watch broadcasts that are scheduled for Saturday, May 11, Saturday, June 8 and Saturday, June 22 at 9:30am central standard time. I encourage you, your friends and family to watch live from the UANetwork website or the designated channels listed on our website on these dates. These are broadcasts you want to inform any young family about; especially millennials. We thank God for every spiritual leader across the world on the fore front of strengthening Jesus disciples in their faith. The days we live in call for such and we need more. We are constantly praying Matthew 9:38 that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers into His harvest field.
I cannot conclude this post without some proud moment mentions. Last week our youngest daughter was part of the keynote speaking team at her place of work's annual global conference. It seems just like yesterday when Lade graduated high school in 2011 and off to college. As a father, I am deeply grateful and proud of her and her sisters faith in Jesus Christ. Witnessing each of them living out their destines is a gift from God. It means everything to me to pass on to them a legacy of faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The month of May has always been a special one; celebrating Cinco de Mayo, Jewish American Heritage, teachers, police officers, nurses and graduations. In our family, the entire month of May is celebration month and holds an extra special place in our hearts and lives. My beloved beautiful Queen has a birthday this month in addition to celebrating the phenomenal mother she is to our daughters and many spiritual children across the globe. Happiest of Birthdays Sweetheart! Our daughters and I are so thankful to God for you and your impact in our lives. We all would not be who we are today without your love, sacrifices, prayers, impact and influence. We celebrate you beloved anointed Queen!
Brothers, reminder that Mother's Day is this weekend; celebrate the gift of femininity in your life. Our world is much better because of each of our beloved sisters nurturing the next generation in the way of the Lord. They bring a unique aspect of God's character to our world. God's continual blessings upon you brothers and your households.
