We are now three weeks into the new year. My family and I are back from a wonderful time of vacation, where I had the distinct privilege to wed my beautiful wife again before my beautiful daughters. Twenty-nine years have flown by so fast. I am very thankful for a Proverbs 31 woman in every sense. I am one grateful and blessed man. We came back to many prayer requests. My Beautiful Queen and I have loved spending time reading and praying over all your email requests sent in for 2019. This week alone, we received more requests and are praying through each one. What this tells me is that God is drawing people to Himself. People are seeking solutions from God about their problems. This is a ripe time for harvest of souls. The requests we have received so far have been unprecedented for a new year. Prayer reveals our transparency, vulnerability and total dependence on the Holy Spirit and our just God. Prayer is a privilege available to anyone.
Whether a person is saved or not, he or she has the privilege of prayer. Then when we are saved by God's grace, we enter into another dimension in our privilege of prayer. At this point of salvation, prayer becomes an absolute dependence and reliance on God to live the life He has called us to as His sons and daughters. You have to understand that prayer is not second nature for me. I was a former Muslim who God radically saved and filled with the Holy Spirit; in addition to birthing a strong desire for prayer. Because I have been a recipient of countless answers to prayer and a witness to the power of prayer in Jesus Christ; I love to encourage about GAP: God Answers Prayer! God answers prayer because of His goodness, righteousness, will and purpose. God's will is found in His word. We know His will by getting into His word.
Beloved brothers and sisters, the confidence we have in the place of prayer is Jeremiah 33:3; "Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvelous things that you know nothing about." God gives an invitation to call on Him anytime. God gives a guarantee that He will answer, we do not have to wonder if He will answer or not. God gives us a sense of wonder to look forward to when we call on Him; He will tell us wonderful and marvelous things we know nothing about. In this scripture, God gives us three confidence builders for the place of prayer: an invitation, a guarantee and the sense of wonder. Let us make 2019 a year of unprecedented prayer. Let us release heaven to earth through prayer in every sphere. Let us permeate every fiber of our society with prayer. Let us cover the earth with prayer. I know the requests are coming in from the TV broadcast. Keep them coming. We love to hear from you and pray with you. Remember to pray because God Answers Prayer. God Bless you!
