As a food safety, quality and sanitation expert, I have the great privilege of serving with some amazing people anyone could ask for in the marketplace. Overseeing the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) plans and British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification at forty-one centers across the U.S., for the largest provider of airline food and in-flight services in the world, I get to travel quite a bit. Sometimes, I get the opportunity to travel with my Queen; love doing life with her.
Recently, I completed successful visits to our Colorado and Utah centers. The thrill that in just a few hours, I would be home kept me pumped up while waiting to know the fate of my tentative flight to Dallas. Simultaneously, the Dallas/Fort Worth area was experiencing weather like no other with thunderstorms and heavy rains. Needless to say, my tentative flight was cancelled and passengers had to find other flight options of getting back to Dallas. It was a perfect situation for passengers to demand their rights, however no one did that, even though they could have.
Instead passengers waited patiently for hours to get to the counter and talk with an airline representative. The airport was packed and hours of waiting slipped into the next day pending a flight to Dallas. Right about these moments, Isaiah 40:31 was quickened in my spirit and the Holy Spirit shined the understanding of the results of “heartitude.” Breaking down the word, "heartitude" is the attitude of the heart in any given moment or situation. The specificity of scripture is very inspiring. The verse starts with the word “but” which is to introduce the idea that something contrasting has already been stated. Despite the contrast, feasibilities are presented. There is renewal of strength that only comes from waiting for the Lord. We see here a prerequisite that unlocks a supernatural strength when done in the right heart attitude. This renewal of strength has some attributes that are lasting, unstoppable and impactful.
As followers of Christ, our feasibilities from this scripture include rising up with wings like an eagle as we live for Christ, running and not getting weary in life, and walking through whatever life throws without fainting. Brothers and sisters, Isaiah 40:31 is God’s assured promise as we occupy for Him in the days we live in. With prayer and demonstration of God's spirit in us, may we continue to rise up with wings like an eagle defying all odds as Christ's ambassadors. God Bless you!
