“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" 2 Chronicles 7:14
Beloved brothers and sisters, the Sovereign God has placed His children in the ripe atmosphere for His glory to be revealed. With so much happening simultaneously in the world, we see a surge of souls coming to the Lord. We are seeing unbelievers coming to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are seeing the trickle of the blessings of revival. Yet, there is a deeper well of revival that many intercessors have prayed to see in this dispensation of an unprecedented outpour of God’s spirit.
In the last few months not just here in our nation but around the world, we have seen an explosion of human depravation, division, decadence and degeneration. We see a groaning of the earth for the manifestation of the children of God. All signs point to the ripening state for revival. A renewal of spiritual life among God’s children. An awakening to the reverence of the Almighty God in the affairs of men. A commitment to the heart of God on His terms. A renewed awareness of God’s Presence. A Holy adoration and settling of the Glorious One on His children.
I am talking about revival! Revival in our hearts. Revival in our souls. A yearning in our spirit after what pleases the Holy Spirit and not grieve Him. A yearning that desires to see heaven invade earth through God’s children. Revival that is widespread from coast to coast and unlimited. Is such even possible? Yes it is very possible. Jesus gave us a preview into what it will take to have such. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus talks about the cost of following Him. A cost that involves denying ourselves and taking up our crosses. This looks different for every follower of Jesus. However, at the core of living for Jesus Christ is a corresponding change that draws people to Him and not away. We become that pleasing aroma of Christ to a dying world (2 Corinthians 2:15).
Matthew 16:24: Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."
Revival can only come on God’s terms and not ours. He has instructed us what it will take to experience this unprecedented outpour of His spirit. He calls us to come on His terms. He is more than ready for His people to experience one of the greatest dimensions of His essence. He tells His sons and daughters in 2 Chronicles 7:14, exactly what His terms and conditions are.
