Believers all over the world are still basking in the resurrection celebrations. Worshiping at our home church brought not only the remembrance of Jesus sacrifice to light but heightened the hope of our eternal home. Easter is a big deal for believers. It’s the core of our faith and the living demonstration of a relationship with God. The reality of Easter is what separates Christianity from other avenues of reaching God. If Jesus never rose from that tomb, we have no life today or eternity. In many countries Easter Monday, a day after Easter is a holiday. As a family tradition we spend it reflecting on the unparalleled power of God in our lives.
For the past twenty years since my daughters were old enough to understand the implications of their faith in Christ, we share and give thanks for the demonstration of the power of God in our lives. This year my wife and I have many thanks to give as we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior and Lord.
Still fresh on our hearts are the demonstrations of God’s power this past week. Our oldest was on her way to work. Before entering the major highway, she felt a nudge to slow down. Just as she did, her tire blew out and before she could think of what to do, she spotted a gas station a few blocks away. The Holy Spirit demonstrated His guidance to her at the right time she needed it! Our middle daughter was on spring break in Europe. She was on her way to Sweden from Brussels, where she had been for two days. An hour after her plane left for Sweden, the explosion occurred in Brussels. That morning she reported an uneasy feeling that prompted her to prayer. Again, the demonstration of God’s power!
Our youngest daughter was on her way to Texas from Wisconsin. With the weather forecast of a winter storm, she prayed to make it home before it happens. A day before her scheduled flight she heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, telling her to call the airline that night to have her flight changed. She was ready to pay additional fees. Not only did her flight get changed with no additional fees charged, but also she was upgraded to business class. Again, the demonstration of God’s power!
Two months ago, my wife and I had a friend introduce us to an industrious owner of a non-profit private school for disadvantaged children. We made contact and he asked us to stay in touch peradventure he might be of guidance to us in the event there were changes in the public school choice application. We did not think much of it until one of our recent board meetings when the question was raised again. This gave our board the chance to think along these lines. This past week when we received the status of the public school choice application, we connected the dots of God’s demonstrated power unbeknownst to us two months ago.
Living a life led of the Holy Spirit is a great privilege for sons and daughters of God. Here at Take Back Ministries, we believe in the demonstration of the power of God. We are unashamed firm believers in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. In fact without the Holy Spirit we are empty. He fills us to overflowing so we can share the life and love of God with a dying world. Join us as we experience together the power of the living God for Take Back International Academy! We are honored to be called to serve God's people and used for His glory!
