When the Philistines approached him in another battle, David did not automatically assume he would win because of the success of his earlier victory. Once more, he humbly inquired of the Lord and He directed his path.
As Christians, let us take a cue from David, from his reliance and total dependence on the Lord. We should learn to not make decisions without consulting God or being led of the Holy Spirit. Allow God to take the helm. Let Him choose, lead, and command your efforts.
“I will instruct you and teach you the way in which you should go” says the Lord of Hosts. That is God's promise to His people. So let us take all of our matters to Him and say “Lord, what should I do? Almighty God show me and I will follow without questioning.”
Christians, make it a habit to ask God daily (in your quiet time and throughout your day) before making any decision: be it personal, familial, or business related.
